Mom, I already know how to roll the dough!
See, I told you.....

I am now rolling into week 3 at home and going slightly stir crazy. Each day I get up shuffle the kids off to school and start searching the
internet for possibilities. I have many irons in many fires and continue to try to keep my spirits up. I was having a particularly low week this past week until I started working on Valentines Day activities with the boys. On Wednesday night the three of us sat down and stuffed
goodie bags with treats and signed Valentines for their friends. Ryan and Brandon teased each other about the cards for their "girlfriends". Man, who would have thought my two little men would be talking about girlfriends at 4 and 7 years old. Thursday after I picked up Ryan from school we turned the kitchen upside down to bake sugar cookies for his school party on Friday. We had so much fun and made only a tiny mess. Ryan really loves to be in the kitchen and showed me he already knew how to roll out the dough. These plans with the boys truly brightened my day and lifted my spirits.

Let's make sure they pass the taste test!
To thank the 3 wonderful men in my life for being so supportive, on Saturday Ryan, Brandon and I baked Valentines day cakes. The boys mainly put the ingredients into the bowl then I mixed. They proceeded to stalk the oven and the cake until it was cool enough to frost it. Afterward, we all sat down and shared our yummy treat together. It was a very nice Valentines Day.
