Take Me Out to the Ball Game....

I finally made it to a game this season and was able to snap a few shots of Brandon. He was so excited for me to come to a game...but it never fails I make him nervous. His first at bat, he hit a hard line drive that advanced a runner home, but he was tagged out at first. It was such a nice hit, but he was a bit unhappy. The next at bat he struck out, so Ryan and I decided after one hour we should make tracks and heahome and made it to first base. He was tagged out at second on the next play. But, two RBI's are nothing to complain d home. No sooner we left, my boy knocked a ball out of the park, advanced another runner about!

Brandon Tests for His 2nd Point in TKD!

Brandon has been very busy this month as you can see from the belated/back-dated posts! He had to miss his scheduled Tae Kwon Do test due to having First Communion on May 16th. Below are pictures of him at his make-up test. This was for his 2nd point of his 1st Degree Black Belt. This time next year he will be testing for his 2nd Degree Black Belt. Tonight's testing was the most physical for him yet and he was well prepared! Shortly after getting off the school bus, after a quick snack he went to take a nice long nap. Eddie, Ryan and I were there to cheer him on during his test. This time he had to display all 3 of his weapons forms for the first time. He did AWESOME! During the sparring portion, he landed a great head shot to partner and classemate Cian.

First of Three Weapons Forms
Form Sparring, what a pretty kick!

Now it's my turn Brandon, take that!

Brandon's First Communion

Today was a special day for Brandon. After months of preparation and studying at Religious Ed classes, he made his First Communion today. Grammy, Aunt Lindsay, Uncle Corey and James all came down from Maryland to celebrate with us. Of course, Grammy and I cried like we always do. Ryan was so excited to wear a suit and be handsome like his brother.

We love our Gram!

Aunt Lindsay with three of her favorite men!

When do we get to eat cake already???

Really, I get presents? How cool is that!
Uncle Corey is tickling Ryan in the background and he is loving it!

I am really not bored, just making a silly face. Uncle Corey is like, seriously, more pictures???

Aunt Jamie getting her snuggle time with James. He only cried for a few seconds then we slipped away to play away from Mommy. That is key! I just love this little guy!

So how picture perfect is that??!!! James sleepy and cuddly with mommy.
We had a cookout with the family that capped off a perfect day. Thank you guys for sharing this day with us and helping me to make it special for Brandon. We love you all very much!

An Aesop Adventure

The second grade classes at Smith Station worked hard to put on their production of Aesop's Adventure. Each class had a musical number that was based on the Aesop Fairy Tales. Brandon was a narrirator for his class. They sang lots of really cute songs and did an AWESOME job. And true to form, I cried like I always do!
